Social Platform, 2020
The LFF EXPANSE lets you step into a new dimension of high quality presentation of storytelling with XR and immersive art. The programme consisted of 9x interactive experiences, 11x 360° film including 180°VR and spatial audio as well as multiple LIVE events. The festival started with an opening ceremony (featuring three speakers) and with a presentation of a networked volumetric capture. Several panel discussions were screened in the Auditorium and held live as well with up to four speakers on the stage.
Furthermore, there was a special performance with an interactive game object and an exclusive live performance for a selected audience in a private room where two actors performed live through their HMD in LA for the audience in the THE EXPANSE.
The Platform was created by INVR. SPACE for the BFI London Film Festival 2020
THE EXPANSE is an adaption from the META.SPACE VR Platform by INVR.SPACE which was just awarded with the Halo Award for Best Platform in the category Special New Horizons.
